BOTHELL — The Northshore School District Board of Directors has chosen interim Superintendent Michael Tolley as the district’s next leader.
Tolley will assume the title of superintendent on July 1, pending completion of contract negotiations.
Tolley, an assistant superintendent since 2019, has served as interim superintendent since last July when Superintendent Michelle Reid departed to run Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia. The school board made its decision Friday.
In a statement, Tolley said he was “extremely honored” and thanked school board members “for their vote of confidence as well as the many individuals that gave their time and valuable feedback during the selection process.”
“As a lifelong educator, I am deeply committed to the success of our community’s children. I look forward to accelerating the great work underway throughout the school district,” he said.
