GRANITE FALLS — A motorcyclist died Wednesday in a crash with a dump truck near Granite Falls, police say.
Just before noon, the dump truck was approaching a roundabout at Highway 92 and Jordan Road, said Washington State Patrol trooper Jacob Kennett. A man on a motorcycle was behind the dump truck.
The truck slowed down and the motorcycle ran into the truck, killing him. The truck driver, a man, cooperated with investigators and no criminal charges were expected, Kennett said.
The circumstances leading to the crash were unclear. The speed limit in that part of Highway 92 is 45 mph, Kennett said.
The road was closed for hours as the investigation continued Wednesday afternoon.
