EVERETT — A stabbing at Kamiak High School sent one victim of the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and another juvenile was arrested in connection with the incident Friday.
At approximately 12:15 p.m. Friday, Mukilteo police officers responded to reports of a stabbing at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo.
The stabbing occurred about 45 minutes before officers or school officials were notified, a press release said. The School Resource Officer quickly identified the juvenile suspect and took them into custody. The juvenile was booked into the Denny Juvenile Detention Center for investigation of assault.
The victim was taken to a hospital by a friend, police said. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is urged to contact the Mukilteo Police Department.
This appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing risk to students or the public, the press release said.
