Multiple vehicle crash closes Highway 526 Thursday evening

The collision resulted in multiple life-threatening injuries.

EVERETT — Eastbound lanes of Highway 526 near Boeing were closed Thursday evening after a multiple vehicle crash that resulted in life-threatening injuries.

The crash occurred in the 3100 block of the highway near near 84th Street SW.

In a social media post Thursday night, Everett police wrote that there were “multiple vehicles & life threatening injuries.”

Detectives specializing in crash reconstruction were brought in to investigate.

Police urged motorists to avoid the area for what was expected to be a lengthy closure.

Information about the number and extent of injuries was not immediately available Thursday night.
