EVERETT — A professional skateboarding competition founded by an MTV reality star is coming to Everett this summer.
Street League Skateboarding’s championship tour is set to bring professional skaters to Everett Aug. 13-14 at Angel of the Winds Arena. It’s the second stop in the tour leading to the super crown championship in November in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The last time the tour was in the Pacific Northwest was in 2011, in Seattle.
Rob Dyrdek, a former professional skateboarder and MTV reality star of “Rob and Big,” “Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory” and “Ridiculousness,” founded Street League Skateboarding in 2010. The championship has toured the world since then.
Tickets for the August stop in Everett go on sale Friday.
