MILL CREEK — A man shot and killed Monday at a Mill Creek apartment has been identified as a 43-year-old Cashmere man.
Around 6:10 a.m. Monday, police responded to the Hawthorne Apartments in the 14700 block of Main Street, according to a news release. Once there, officers found Nathaniel Grimmett had been shot. They tried live-saving measures, but Grimmett died at the scene.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office determined he died of a gunshot wound. The manner of death was deemed homicide.
The police investigation into Grimmett’s killing remained active Friday, city spokesperson Scott Harder said. While no suspects had been identified, police believe it was an isolated incident, and that there was no threat to the general public.
