EVERETT — A vehicle crash killed two people, including a girl toddler, and led to the closure of 112th Street SW east of Evergreen Way on Sunday morning.
The vehicle was eastbound on the south Everett street around 9:14 a.m. when it struck a tree and a utility pole. The impact split the vehicle into two pieces near a BECU credit union location.
“Witnesses indicated it was at a high rate of speed,” Everett Police officer Aaron Snell said.
A man was found dead from the crash. Another man was taken to a hospital, as were a woman and the toddler, who were found in the vehicle’s wreckage with serious injuries. The toddler died at a hospital, Snell said, and it was unclear if both men were in the vehicle.
The Everett Police Department said detectives were investigating the collision. The road was opened after almost six hours of investigation.
Names of the people who died were pending the notification of their families.
