Washington West African Center to host community health fair

EVERETT — The Washington West African Center is hosting a community health fair Saturday, offering free vaccines, health insurance enrollment assistance and other health services.

The free event will take place from 12–4 p.m. at the West African Community Hall, 19203 36th Ave. W. Suite 210.

The West African Center is partnering with the Snohomish County, King County and Washington state health departments to host the fair.

Licensed insurance navigators will be available to help people enroll in health insurance, regardless of income or immigration status. Language interpretation services will be provided. Open enrollment ends Jan. 15.

The Snohomish County Health Department will provide several vaccines for free, including flu and COVID-19 shots. The state health department is offering free health screenings, including blood pressure, dental and vision testing.

The center will also provide free African food.
