I think this American Airlines captain deserves special recognition (“This is your captain speaking: Settle down,” The Herald, Jan. 13). He quickly, and with a great sense of humor — “I will dump you off in Kansas” — (that is really funny), defused a potential very bad situation for his plane, for his crew, and for all the passengers.
