I am writing to express my strong support for the re-election of Adam Fortney as Snohomish County Sheriff. In the face of challenging times, Fortney has proven himself to be an exemplary leader who is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.

Throughout his tenure as sheriff, Fortney has consistently demonstrated his commitment to transparency and accountability. His willingness to engage with the community, address concerns and implement changes where necessary is a testament to his dedication to improving the sheriff’s office. This approach is essential in building trust between law enforcement and the residents they serve.

Fortney partnered with the business community and residents most impacted by the fentanyl crisis and delivered ongoing crime prevention strategies, but he also brought resource fairs to the area. These events delivered needed resources and service providers but also created an open and engaging environment for citizens to interact with the deputies who serve the area, building trust and avenues of communication.

His initiatives, such as community outreach programs and engagement with youth, have fostered a sense of partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and the people it serves. One of the greatest examples of Sheriff Fortney’s dedication to the community is his LEAD the Way Program. This eight-week program was created to help provide leadership, encouragement, and direction to the young people in Snohomish County.

I urge my fellow residents to join me in supporting Adam Fortney for re-election as Snohomish County sheriff. Let us continue to build on the progress he has made and work together for a safer, stronger community.
