Can Everett mayor provide updates on issues?

I would appreciate, and I think others in Everett would also, having the mayor give us some periodic reports on what’s going on around here. Whether that’s a weekly “Mayor’s Corner” column she would author in The Herald or a monthly “Summary of the City’s Workings” interview with her published in The Herald would help some of us understand what is going on.

For instance, what’s happening with the situation with the effort on homelessness and drug addiction that was promised in her campaign? Or, what’s going on with gang activity in south Everett? All we are being bombarded with is news from other cities around the nation when what we can really use is some more local news. What you think?
