My name is Dick Abrams and as a former high school football coach and athletic director in Snohomish County, I was disappointed to hear that the Everett Herald is considering cuts to its excellent paper. The Herald has always been the primary sports page in the area, and possibly in the whole state, that athletes, coaches, and the general public go to for sports information.
By having a complete and in-depth sports information department, The Herald has led the way in newspaper sustainability while many other papers have floundered. I would ask that The Herald reconsider any possible cuts that could have a devastating impact on the excellent coverage they have provided over the years, not just in sports, but in all their local news coverage. Thank you for your consideration on this important matter.
