Congratulations to Everett on home for history museum

Congratulations. Everett may now really call itself an All-American city. The news (The Herald, Dec. 21) that the Everett Museum of History has purchased a building for a permanent home is long overdue.

When I travel thorough the eastern part of the state I visit small hamlets and towns that take pride in preserving their history, such as Northport, Colville and Ellensburg. Close by, Granite Falls through community efforts and foresight has a wonderful museum of local history.

I am glad that finally Everett will go on the list and our people can view and be proud of their history.
