So, according to Eugene Robinson, it is President Trump’s fault that Rosanne Barr made the racial tweet which resulted in the cancellation of her show by ABC (Disney) (“Roseanne fooled into thinking racist tweet was safe,” The Herald June 3). According to Robinson everything bad that happens is President Trump’s fault. He obviously has a vendetta against President Trump. He makes no attempt to be objective since his columns always state his negative view of the Trump administration. So why does The Herald continue to publish his rubbish? Are there no other columnists available that could provide commentary on other issues affecting our country instead of solely bashing Trump?
I also find it interesting that the Sunday section B of The Daily Herald contained four articles about the Roseanne Barr debacle but not one mention of Samantha Bee’s vulgar diatribe of Ivanka Trump on CNN. I see that Samantha has apologized for her remarks. However, she still has her job at CNN. This is just another example of how the media treats people differently depending on the person’s political point of view.
I switched my subscription from The Seattle Times to The Daily Herald a little over three years ago because of the Times singular liberal focus. I am getting close to canceling The Daily Herald as well. I would really like to find a newspaper that presents both sides of the story for me to read and enjoy with my morning cup of coffee.
