Al Gore’s tactics used to win the election in Florida are disgraceful. He’s brought in the big lawyers, the Jesse Jacksons and PR loud mouths. He has attacked the Florida officials and characterized them as biased and incompetent. He’s gone on television portraying himself as the peacemaker and the defender of civil and voter rights!
The truth is: Gore’s trying to change the electoral results by changing votes which were cast and counted according to Florida regulations. He’s attempting to make an issue of “confusion” of voters in an county where invalid votes in the previous election were more or less in the same range. He’s supporting a subjective interpretation of what the voters’ intention was and which votes should be awarded to whom. He’s doing anything necessary to try to change the vote tally in Florida in order to claim this election.
It’s a shame, a travesty and unpardonable action by a man who hopes to become the leader of the free world.
