State House Bill 2947 would deny lawful citizens the right to use for self-defense — except in their home or on their property — any magazines exceeding 15 rounds. (Fact: the Parkland shooter used 10-round magazines demonstrating intent has more bearing than magazine capacity.)
Criminal attacks are not limited to homes. Consider recent downtown Seattle shootings. As a result such restrictions on those who otherwise could legally possess/use such magazines infringes of the right of self-defense when not at home—a violation of Washington State Constitution.
And how does the state “buy back” something it never owned?
So-called “common sense gun laws” that would have zero impact on criminal activity generally seem to be created, as one individual stated, by people who know little about guns for people who know little about guns.
