Herald homework: Student enjoys being home, but misses school

My name is Mattea. I am having a good time with no school.

My mom loves it most! She teaches kindergarten and she loves the break. We have fun at home. We still have to set our alarm clock, but we get to read in bed in the mornings. I like it at home but I can’t wait to go back to school. I love school! It is fun.

My six-year old sister Clara is excited to go back too. My mom still has to teach my sister but I can do my own! I’m in second grade. My sister is in kindergarten with my mom. I miss my friends at school. My teacher did not send home a lot of work, so my mom got me some worksheets and I will do them soon. In the afternoon we go to school.

My mom has to do stuff in her classroom. We help her clean it! My mom says we can have extra playtime.
