Howdy, cousin

Jim and Carolyn McCullar, the Ephrata couple who won a $190 Mega Millions jackpot this week, stepped forward to claim their prize Thursday. They say they plan to share it with their large extended family.

And with that, The Buzz is off to ancestry.com in search of any McCullars that might be in our family tree.

Heeeerrrre’s what’s-his-name: Oprah Winfrey will be the guest when “Piers Morgan Tonight,” CNN’s replacement for Larry King’s long-running interview show, debuts Jan. 17.

The show is expected to begin with Winfrey looking blankly at Morgan before saying, “Umm, I’m sorry, but I didn’t catch your name.”

Snuff film: On this day in 1894, Thomas Edison made one of the first motion pictures, a seven-second clip showing a man taking a pinch of snuff, then sneezing.

More than a century later, the Motion Picture Association of America handed an R rating to “Edison Kinetoscopic Record of a Sneeze,” citing “pervasive tobacco use.”
