I feel better with an adult — Biden — in the White House

I write this in response to a recent letter to the editor and its attempt to argue that President Biden is failing worse than President Trump. That on its face is a non-starter. Trump has no place in the government of these United States. Jan. 6, 2021, was Trump’s ultimate achievement.

The writer would have us believe President Biden has failed to eradicate covid-19. My question to him is how can that be true? We have been supplied with a vaccine, masking, social distancing, and therapeutics. When more than 40 percent of American adults failed to be vaccinated, masked or distanced, what chance have we of defeating this virus? Seeing the photo of long testing lines in the paper, I immediately thought how wonderful it would be if those lines were of people wanting to be vaccinated.

Point two. If a president could dictate fuel prices, I’m sure he would, just like other world dictators. Opening domestic reserves has helped and greater production will continue to ease prices.

Point three. The broken supply chain is not in any president’s portfolio. President Biden has gotten ports to operate 24/7 and has pressured trucking companies to step up. Both these resources are finite and only illustrate our past lack of concern for supply line fragility.

Yes, I find it refreshing to wake up each morning knowing that an adult who takes responsibility for his and his government’s successes and mistakes resides at the head of our government. Biden is a man of truthfulness, integrity, and supports the constitution. If you are a conservative and have a policy difference offer an alternate solution, not a personal attack.
