Limit on ammo magazines only means outlaws will outgun us

Passage of a state law on ammunition magazines is nothing but virtue signaling (“‘A milestone’: Law signed banning sales of large-capacity ammo magazines,” The Herald, March 23).

It will do nothing, nothing to reduce any gun deaths. Oh, they say, if you want to defend yourself, 10 rounds should be enough. What a joke; who are these people to decide how many rounds we are allowed to have to defend ourselves? It is outrageous.

So you, as a law-abiding citizen, are now only allowed 10 bullets to defend yourself, but the criminal with an illegal gun who has 17 rounds, and kills you, he will get off with a few years in jail, then let out. This is the way our system works in Washington state and other liberal states. It’s all based on emotion and virtue signaling, look at what we have done! Isn’t it just great?

We can now feel good about ourselves again. Wake up, people of Western Washington and vote these people out of office.
