Methodist decision follows the Bible

In response to the Nov. 5 letter, “Homosexuality: Methodist church made the wrong decision” (about the church affirming a ban on gay ministers): How wonderful that the Methodist church is standing up for the Biblical God who is transcendent over the false god of toleraton of all practices!

We make ourselves available for our Biblical God’s effort toward our highest good as we acknowledge Him and His supernatural plan for us all.

God loves us, including homosexuals, but not our sin. Let’s not miss out on His umbrella of love by endorsing the satanic practice of homosexuality, which already caused the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Old Testament. It was condemned in the New Testament as well (1 Cor. 6:9).

The sin of homosexuality is equated in the Bible with other sins such as drunkenness, stealing, other sexual immorality, prostitution, swindling, etc. Why should we condone one sin and not the others? We each have a choice to follow Satan, and the addictions he fosters, or follow God.
