Neighbors gets nod from 39th GOP

On Aug. 5 the 39th District Republicans endorsed Betty Neighbors for Snohomish County Executive. While some might be surprised that the district made a pre-primary endorsement, our decision was based on sound reasoning that will set a precedent and benefit the taxpayers and citizens of Snohomish County.

Washington’s late primary creates a challenge for our party and for any candidate who is the consensus choice of the party’s grassroots, as is Betty Neighbors. We believe it is crucial to let voters know that Betty is the candidate who represents the interests of taxpayers who believe in less government and common sense solutions to traffic and crime issues. To see real change in “business as usual,” Snohomish County should elect Betty Neighbors as our next county executive.

I urge you to elect a candidate who will finally “walk the walk,” and get Snohomish County working again, streamline local government, use our tax dollars for local traffic fixes first, and get tough on the violent criminals and drug dealers who prey on our neighborhoods. Betty Neighbors has my support, along with the unanimous endorsement of the 39th District Republicans, and I hope you will join us in electing her as our next county executive.
