New look is great, upkeep needs work

As a resident of Everett for 15 years in a downtown location on Hewitt Avenue, I have seen a lot of changes. The best of these changes was the re-building of Hewitt and the Everett Events Center, which I live just across the street from.

The only sad part of the rebuilding is the up-keep and maintenance. Bulbs are starting to burn out in the street lights, and all the trees with strings of lights are not only burned out, but some are missing, and there is no effort on the part of the city to fix the problem.

It seems to me that if you put in effort to make changes to better our town, it can at least be taken care of in a proper manner.
