Pass school levy, bond measures to support children

Thankfully, the voters in the Marysville School District did pass its levy on Feb. 14, last year. There will be more levies and bonds to pass for sure in all the school districts in the state of Washington because that’s how it is in this wonderful state of ours and in most other states in America.
KOMO radio recently announced the Tacoma school district levy election is coming up soon. If the Tacoma levy passes, the citizens will not be paying much more than they are now. Again, that is true of all other school districts in this state. I learned from a letter to the editor in the Daily Herald that the Arlington school district has a levy and bond election very soon. Although I am retired and I do not live in those districts, I’m definitely praying with all my might that everything passes in Tacoma and in Arlington.
Please contact your representatives in Olympia urging them to better fund our kids and our future. Our representatives are putting kids on the back burner and is definitely not fair. Until our state fully funds education, all districts need to pass levies and bonds to ensure that our students get what they need to be successful citizens post graduation. Our Kids! Our Future!
