PUD’s ‘angels of light’ restored our power
Published 1:30 am Saturday, February 5, 2022
My husband and I have lived in Marysville since 1982, and thankfully, seldom have we had a power outage that lasted more than a short time.
Recently about 10:30 a.m., our power and phone went out, and did not come on again, until 5:17 p.m. After awhile, we went to a local restaurant to eat, and on the way, noticed that roads were blocked off, so we assumed this went beyond our neighborhood. It was cold and wet outside, but those dear Snohomish Public Utility District workers put in long, tedious hours, restoring our power.
Yes, it’s what they were trained and are paid to do, and sadly, many of us have taken them for granted, knowing they will be here when needed. Well, after that day, I’m all through doing that; so, today I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart; let you know how valuable you are, and how much you are appreciated. May God bless and keep you. You are truly, angels of light!
