In the dictionary under “rent control,” it states “government regulation of the amount charged as rent for housing and often also of eviction.”
With all the homelessness we are dealing with now that seems to be the best way to stop this insanity. It can be temporary until all the proposed affordable housing is built. It can be done a whole lot quicker than building of such housing and going through all the mazes of trying to get any help.
Why can’t the city governments use this very simple tool to help the people they are supposed to be representing?
