Superior Court judge: Anderson has range of expertise

I am a survivor of domestic violence, now dedicated to advocacy as a victim advocate and registered lobbyist. I am writing in strong support of Mary Anderson’s candidacy for Snohomish County Superior Court judge, Position 12.

It is essential to have judges with substantial civil law expertise, particularly for cases involving domestic violence survivors. My own experience reflects the harm that can occur when judges lack this knowledge. In my case, a judge with a criminal defense background silenced me and reinforced a system where survivors are marginalized. This is not just my story; it’s a systemic problem in courts across the country.

Mary Anderson’s extensive experience as a trial and appellate attorney, and her service as a Judge Pro Tem, give her the well-rounded expertise needed to handle complex civil cases with fairness and compassion. Her understanding of civil law, including personal injury and consumer protection, is crucial for protecting the rights of vulnerable populations like domestic violence survivors.

We need judges like Mary Anderson; those who will uphold the law impartially and ensure that survivors have access to justice.

Please join me in supporting Mary Anderson for Snohomish County Superior Court, Position 12. Together, we can ensure that our courts are led by knowledgeable, compassionate judges.
