Talk with USPS carriers about reported problems

As a local business owner I have been concerned about the news reports about the reduction in services from the U.S. Postal Service. Because of my concern I have spoken with the two different postal delivery personnel who deliver mail to our office in Everett. In both cases they have assured me that they deliver all the mail that they receive everyday whether it takes 8 hours or 13 hours; that overtime has not been restricted; that the blue boxes that have been removed were ones that were repeatedly vandalized so that reinstalling them didn’t makes sense. They also told me that due to that vandalism the blue boxes were not being used to the degree that they had been.
I find it unpatriotic or un-American that we are ripping the USPS apart without getting more information from the actual postal carriers with boots on the ground. Having lived in many countries besides the U.S., I find that our postal service is the best in the world for timeliness, cost and efficiency. Try mailing something in Italy or Canada.
