Thank you for the recent articles regarding fentanyl addiction; it was really eye opening (“‘Whole new demon’: Fentanyl deaths soar, and recovery is harder,” The Herald, April 10).
For one thing I didn’t know that while most drugs require 10 days to come off the drug, fentanyl requires 30 days and insurance only covers 10 days.
I want to thank Herald reporter Claudia Yaw for her interview with Randy Tharp. Big thank you to Randy for putting a face on this drug. Keep up the good work, I see you going forward as a speaker and mentor for others in need.
