This hunk of junk is a waste of money

I have kept quiet as long as I could. It appalls me to see that Marysville has approved to pay $175,000 to get the old, junky, “landmark” of a water tower fixed. If they have extra money to spend on such things, why not do something about State Street and get it repaved? I have lived here for eight years and believe me, that water tank is not what brought us to this area. State Street is a disgrace to the community. I drive all over the Puget Sound area, and I have yet to see a main street as in need of repair as State Street is.

If the citizens of Marysville think that that hunk of metal is something that should be compared to the Space Needle and the Golden Gate Bridge, they don’t get out much. Keep on wasting money on this kind of stuff and people will leave because the roads are terrible and the schools are over crowded. But, we are saving a water tower.

Another question, who did the bid in the first place? They kinda forgot to look at the roof? What kind of company is doing the repairs? Sounds like a way to get more money out of the people, since they have gone “too far to stop the project.” This sounds like a cover-up.
