Trump’s justifiably worried; I’m not

After former President Trump’s indictment in New York, he flew home to Florida in his lavishly refurbished Trump plane, and announced that he is protecting us because if “they” can do this to him, “they” can do this to us.

Well, I am not shaking in my boots worried about some potential arrest because I have not had sex with a porn star, lied about it, and then classified hush money payments as deductible legal fees to reduce my taxes. I have not lied about and inflated the value of my property to get loans and investment, and then deflated the value on the same property to reduce my taxes. I have not drained investor’s funds from a corporation I set up, and then declared the corporation bankrupt. Nor have I stiffed contractors.

I have not set up a fraudulent university. I have not formed a charity and used others’ donations for my benefit and then be forced by the state to dissolve it. I did not lie about having (now miraculously cured) bone spurs to get out of the army draft. I have not incited any mob to act on my behalf with a big lie to “fight like hell” and bring death and destruction. I don’t even cheat at golf with friends as I am only concerned how I did relative to previous rounds. I live by the Constitution, even the parts pertaining to elections and accept who wins (I didn’t even bat an eye when Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris “promised” to deliver Florida to George W. Bush in 2000 when that sounded like it was rigged).

I haven’t had government employees stay at my properties and pay exorbitant rates, nor had domestic or foreign visitors promoting their interests stay at my properties enriching me, violating the emoluments clause.

So, while Trump tries to convince you his heart is in the right place, his head isn’t. He only thinks about his own gain and well being. Do you wonder whose dollars paid for those fancy upgrades to his private plane? Remember, his accountant is in jail.
