This is for all the misguided permanent daylight saving time advocates: It does not give us more daylight hours. Hours of daylight are determined by the rotational speed of the earth, tilt of its axis, and latitude position. Daylight saving time does not affect any of these variables.
You can set the time to whatever you like. You will not get any more daylight. DST is a manmade artificial concept. If you want more daylight in the evening get up an hour earlier and go to bed an hour earlier or move to western Idaho. That’s all DST is doing for you.
Personally, I don’t care for flipping clocks back and forth twice a year. Let’s go to year-round standard time and leave it there. Which we can initiate as a state and it doesn’t require a national congressional approval.
