Regarding the recent coverage of pay raises for state officials (“Judges, lawmakers, governor in line for pay raises,” The Herald, Oct. 14), it sounds like the buddy-buddy system between the elite and politicians.
Who is on the citizens commission on salaries for elected officials? Please tell us their names.
The poor, low-wage tax-paying citizens say no pay raises.
I’m sure there are many competent people who could replace the politicians without a pay raise.
