For our featured resale home this week, we have a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath contemporary two-story with bonus room.
The house was built in 2005 and is on a .61-acre lot with mature evergreen trees and 80 feet of waterfront on Spring Lake, a small private lake north of Granite Falls. Only motorless watercraft are allowed on the lake.
A door with leaded glass window at the front of the house opens to a foyer with oak flooring. To the immediate left is a living room, and straight ahead is a wide hall leading to the back of the house.
Living room highlights include pale neutral plush carpeting, a vaulted cathedral ceiling, and a large window overlooking the front yard.
A formal dining room is positioned between the living room and kitchen. Its features include oak flooring, a coffered ceiling, and a picture window facing a natural wooded area at the side of the house.
At the back of the house, the kitchen, informal dining area and family room are arranged in an open floor plan.
Kitchen features include oak flooring, recessed lighting, a pantry, breakfast bar, corner sink beneath two windows with lake views, and lyptus cabinets with laminate countertops. Lyptus is a renewable and sustainable hybrid eucalyptus hardwood from South America.
The informal dining area is positioned between the kitchen and family room. It has oak flooring and a bay window overlooking the lake.
The family room is finished with flecked Berber carpeting and has a gas fireplace with slate tile hearth and surround. A television alcove is above the fireplace.
A hallway off the family room leads to a half bathroom and laundry room. The bathroom has faux tile vinyl flooring and a single vanity made of lyptus and topped with laminate. The laundry room has an oversized window and a utility sink.
An enclosed staircase near the foyer ascends to the upper level, where all the bedrooms, a full bathroom and the bonus room are located.
One of the bedrooms is a suite with five-piece bathroom. The suite’s bedroom has plush carpeting, a walk-in closet, and a picture window with lake view. Features of the suite’s bathroom include vinyl flooring, a high elongated double vanity (lyptus) topped with laminate, a deep soaker tub encased in tile, and a shower with faux tile fiberglass shell.
All three remaining bedrooms have double closets.
The home has propane forced-air heat and a security system, and is wired for surround sound.
