This week’s featured new home is a two-bedroom condo in the Grandview Place condominium complex located atop the bluff of Grand Avenue in Everett.

The location affords 180-degree views of Port Gardner Bay, the Olympics, Hat Island, Camano Head and Whidbey Island from the privacy of a covered balcony-style deck and most interior rooms.

Built by Christensen Quality Homes Inc., the condo measures 1,325 square feet and includes a space in the secure parking garage, an 80-square-foot storage room and the 222-square-foot deck.

The four-story building shares a secured telephone/video intercom entry, an elevator and a large common room that includes a lounge, billiards table, air hockey and exercise equipment.

Maple hardwood flooring covers the entry and hall, and extends into the kitchen. An interior window with a granite slab base reveals an oversized great room that combines formal living and dining areas.

This room is oriented toward the view and is highlighted by a wall of windows and sliding glass doors that open to the large deck that’s secured with powdered aluminum railing. The great room has a corner gas fireplace that’s trimmed with slab granite and framed by a formal wood surround and mantel painted white. An alabaster, pendant-style light fixture with an amber hue brightens the dining area.

Kitchen attributes include granite slab countertops, a tiered breakfast bar, cherry-stained cabinets with crown molding, drop-down and directional lighting, a pantry closet and a stainless steel appliance package that includes a four-burner gas cooktop, a bottom-mount refrigerator and an over-the-range microwave. An added accent is a decorator niche with a granite base.

A short hall leads to the wing of the condo that holds the master suite, a full bath, a laundry room and the second bedroom. This bedroom faces a side yard and has plush carpeting, radius corners, paneled sliding doors that enclose a standard closet, an alabaster light fixture and phone/cable jacks.

The second bath has a single vanity topped with ceramic tile, complementary 12-inch ceramic tile flooring, and a shower/tub combination with a ceramic tile surround and mosaic tile accents.

Utility room features include built-in overhead birch cabinets and an alabaster light fixture.

The master suite has an elegant bathroom and two separate wardrobe closets that are enclosed with paneled sliding doors. The sleeping area has sliding glass doors that open to the deck that overlooks the Everett waterfront.

Amenities in the master bathroom include 12-inch ceramic tile flooring, a double vanity topped with ceramic tile, mosaic accents, two corner mirrors and a large walk-in shower with a ceramic tile surround, a frosted transom window and a clear glass enclosure.
