A three-bedroom plus den, 2.5-bath contemporary two-story is our featured resale home this week. It was built in 1993 and is on a large corner lot in the Stratton Hill subdivision between Everett and Mukilteo. There are Puget Sound views from many rooms in the house.

Inside the front door is a foyer that is open to the second level and brightened by a skylight. Wainscoting and cherry flooring are other highlights.

To the left is a living room with cherry flooring, vaulted cathedral ceiling, three tall vertical windows, and a gas fireplace with marble tile hearth and surround. The fireplace is also trimmed with a decorative mantel.

A formal dining area is adjacent to the living room. Features include cherry flooring, a vaulted cathedral ceiling, and windows facing the front and side yards with Sound views.

A kitchen, informal dining area and family room are at the back of the house. All three areas have cherry flooring.

Kitchen features include light oak cabinets, tile countertops, recessed lighting, an angled island with breakfast bar, and white-on-white appliances.

The informal dining area has two corner picture windows with views, and a sliding glass door that accesses an aggregate patio and fenced back yard.

The family room is highlighted by a large window overlooking the back yard, and a gas fireplace with brick hearth and surround.

Straight ahead from the foyer is a den or home office with a double-door entry, cherry flooring, wainscoting, and a window overlooking a side yard.

A half bathroom and a laundry room complete the entry level. The bathroom is finished with cherry flooring and an elongated single vanity topped with tile, and the laundry room has a door that accesses the home’s attached three-car garage.

A switchback staircase in the foyer ascends to the upper level, where an owners’ suite, two bedrooms and a full bathroom are located.

The suite has a double-door entry, off-white plush carpeting, large rectangular picture window facing the Sound view, a double closet with bifold doors, and a sitting area.

Highlights of the suite’s five-piece bathroom are off-white plush carpeting, a skylight, an oval tub encased in tile beneath a view window, an elongated double vanity topped with tile, an oversized shower with tile surround, and a walk-in closet.

The two remaining bedrooms have double closets with bifold doors, and the full bathroom includes an elongated double vanity and a shower-tub combination.
