A three-bedroom, 2.5-bath daylight- basement rambler in the Madrona area of Camano Island is our featured home this week. It was built in 1995 and extensively remodeled in 2006.

The house faces views of Saratoga Passage and Whidbey Island.

Inside the front entry is a foyer with slate tile flooring. To the right is a door accessing a half bathroom with elongated single vanity topped with granite.

A great-room is straight ahead from the foyer and has numerous windows framing the view. The great-room includes a living room, dining area and kitchen.

Among the features of the room are wood-tone laminate flooring, a vaulted cathedral ceiling, sliding glass doors accessing a view deck, and a gas fireplace with slate tile hearth and surround.

The U-shaped kitchen has light-oak cabinets with granite slab countertops, several pantry cupboards, and a view window above the sink.

A door in the kitchen accesses the home’s attached two-car garage.

An owners’ suite is positioned off the great-room. Its bedroom has gray cut-pile carpeting, a glass door that opens to the deck, and an extra-large picture window facing the view.

The suite bedroom and its five-piece bathroom are separated by a walk-in closet. The closet can be accessed from both the bedroom and the bathroom.

Highlights of the bathroom include tile flooring, an elevated jetted tub encased in tile, an elongated double vanity topped with granite slab, and a corner shower with fiberglass shell.

A switchback staircase near the foyer descends to the finished daylight basement, where the two remaining bedrooms, a media or rec room, utility room, laundry room and full bathroom are located.

The rec room has gray plush carpeting, and a sliding glass door providing a view as well as access to an aggregate patio and the back yard.

Both bedrooms are at the back of the house and have gray plush carpeting and a walk-in closet. The first bedroom has one view window; the second bedroom has two.

The utility room, which currently houses a refrigerator and standard freezer with room to spare, could be turned into a small kitchen to create a mother-in-law unit on the home’s lower level.

The full bathroom has a shower-tub combination with fiberglass shell, and the laundry room includes a built-in sink and cabinets.

The house has propane forced air heat and surround sound.
