Our featured home today is a three-bedroom, 2.25-bath custom contemporary rambler in the Dutch Hill area near Snohomish.
It was built in 2000 and is on a one-acre lot. A staircase on the entry level leads up to a loft bonus room and bedroom.
The front door opens to a foyer with oak flooring. At an angle to the right is a sunken formal living room with paned glass double-door entry, Berber carpet, and a large, arched picture window overlooking the front yard.
Another paned glass double door straight ahead from the foyer opens to a great-room including the kitchen, informal dining area and family room. The entire great-room has oak flooring and recessed lighting.
The family room is highlighted by a fireplace with brick hearth and surround, and two picture windows framing rural and mountain views, including Mount Rainier. A glass double door opens to a covered ground-level deck and the back yard.
Kitchen features include a big center island with breakfast bar and five-burner cooktop, maple cabinets, granite slab countertops, a work station, double oven and walk-in pantry.
An oversized mud room off the kitchen has tile flooring, built-in cabinets and utility sink, and backyard access. A laundry room and a half bathroom are positioned off the mud room. The laundry room has tile flooring, built-in sink and elongated countertop, numerous cabinets and a window overlooking the front yard.
Another door in the mud room accesses the home’s attached three-car garage.
A hallway leads from the mud room to a home office and a bedroom suite. The office has Berber carpet, windows overlooking the back yard and view, and a glass double door that opens to the deck.
The suite’s bedroom has beige cut-pile carpeting, a coved ceiling, four view windows, and a glass double door opening to a small deck.
Features of the suite’s five-piece bathroom include tile flooring, an elongated double vanity, deep oval soaker tub encased in tile beneath a window with privacy glass, and an oversized shower with tile surround.
A large walk-in closet completes the suite.
A hall at the other end of the house leads to one bedroom and a three-quarter bathroom.
The home has a central vacuum system and is wired for surround sound.
