A four-bedroom, 2.5-bath contemporary two-story near Silver Lake is our featured home today. It was built in 2000 and is on a 5,631 square-feet lot at the end of a cul-de-sac.
The home has nine-feet ceilings and custom wood blinds throughout.
The front door opens to a foyer open to the second level and finished with tile flooring. To the immediate right is a formal living room with pale neutral plush carpeting, a picture window facing the street, and two high vertical windows to the side.
An archway separates the living room from an adjoining formal dining room. Features of the dining room include wainscoting, shadowboxing, and a double coffered ceiling.
A U-shaped kitchen, informal dining area and family room are arranged in an open floorplan at the back of the house. The kitchen has faux tile vinyl flooring, oak cabinets, laminate countertops, white-on-white appliances, a pantry closet, work station, and large window above the sink, overlooking the completely fenced back yard.
The same vinyl flooring is used in the informal dining area, which has a sliding-glass door that opens to an aggregate patio and the back yard. A wooden ground-level deck is next to the aggregate patio.
A partial wall visually separates the informal dining area from the family room. The family room has the same carpet as the living room. Other features include a picture window overlooking the back yard, and a gas fireplace with tile hearth and surround, and a wide mantel.
A half bathroom is positioned near the family room and has vinyl flooring, a single vanity topped with laminate, and a window with privacy glass. Steps away is a door accessing the home’s finished two-car garage, which includes a workshop area.
An enclosed switchback staircase in the foyer ascends to the second level, which includes a bedroom suite, three more bedrooms, a full bathroom and a laundry room.
Highlights of the bedroom suite include a sitting area, windows overlooking the front and side yards, a walk-in closet and a five-piece bathroom with deep soaker tub encased in tile, elongated double vanity topped with laminate, and an oversized shower with fiberglass surround.
All three bedrooms have double closets with sliding doors.
The home has a gas forced-air heating system.
