This week’s featured home is a two-story, daylight basement design that was built on a private greenbelt lot in Maderas, a subdivision in Bothell.

Built by West Tier Development, the nearly 4,000-square-foot home includes four bedrooms, 3.75 baths, a family room, a media room, a home office and a tandem three-car garage.

The home’s foyer is decked with bamboo plank flooring, which extends throughout much of the main level. Other appointments include oversized windows and 8-foot-tall roller-catch double doors made of knotty alder.

Formal living and dining rooms are situated to the immediate left of the foyer. Both rooms benefit from 9-foot coffered ceilings with crown molding. The living room is highlighted by a natural gas fireplace with a formal wood surround and a travertine tile hearth and border. The dining room includes a storefront door that opens to an oversized, exposed aggregate back yard patio.

The kitchen has a two-tiered island with a curved breakfast bar topped with slab granite. Other amenities include alder cabinets with fluted glass fronts, a ceramic tiled backsplash with indirect lighting, drop-down lighting and a stainless steel appliance package that includes a six-burner gas cooktop range, a built-in wall oven and microwave, a dishwasher and a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer.

Completing the main level is a family room, a three-quarter bath and a bedroom. The family room is wired for a plasma high-definition television with surround sound. The room also has a gas fireplace that’s trimmed with a wood surround and mantel.

The main-level bedroom has four vertical windows complemented by a decorator shelf. It also has private access to the bathroom. The bath features 18-inch ceramic tile flooring, a pedestal sink with ceramic tile storage and a walk-in shower with a ceramic tile surround and a clear glass enclosure.

In the daylight basement is a media room and access to the garage.

At the top of the staircase leading to the second level, a curved, wrought iron baluster surrounds a loft area that overlooks the foyer. Dual skylights and wall sconces bathe the area in natural light.

One of the upstairs bedrooms has a private bath while two others share a Jack and Jill bathroom. Two of the three bedrooms include walk-in wardrobe closets.

French doors open into the master suite that includes an expansive sleeping area with a vaulted ceiling, a tip-out sitting area and 12 windows.

The master bathroom has a high ceiling with multiple skylights and a jetted soaker tub. Other amenities include a private toilet area and a walk-in shower with two showerheads and a built-in shampoo niche.

The master suite also includes a walk-in wardrobe closet with French doors and built-in wood organizer systems on every wall.
