This week’s feature is a three-bedroom, two-and-one-half bath, two-story home on a one-acre lot at Kackman Vista north of Arlington.

It’s in an area of similar homes with 24 acres of open space including some creek frontage. The house has 2,780 square feet of living space.

Included are a septic system, private well, central vacuum system, Category V high-tech wiring, wiring for a generator and two electric garage door openers.

On the main floor are foyer, office, living and dining rooms, kitchen, eating area, family room, powder and utility rooms and master suite.

Upstairs, a sky bridge leads to a large bonus room, two additional bedrooms and full bath.

Oak flooring extends throughout much of the lower level.

Paned glass French doors open to the office on the right, with living and dining rooms on the left. The living room has a vaulted ceiling, propane log-burning fireplace and an arched niche.

In the kitchen, granite covers the elongated center island which includes a stainless steel prep sink and breakfast bar. There are cherry-stained, alder paneled cabinets, granite tile countertops, ceramic tile backsplashes and stainless steel appliances featuring an electric double oven with five-burner propane gas cook-top.

A door opens from the nook to a large cedar deck that overlooks a large backyard lined with trees. The family room features a corner, gas-log-burning fireplace, six floor-to-ceiling vertical windows and vaulted ceiling.

French doors open to the master suite with two windows framing a backyard view. The five-piece bathroom includes a step-up soaker tub and a freestanding walk-in shower. There’s a private toilet area and walk-in wardrobe closet with ventilated wire storage shelves.

The two upstairs bedrooms include phone and cable jacks, and paneled sliding doors that enclose standard closets.

The full bath has a shower-tub combination with faux white tile fiberglass shell.
