This week’s featured home is a unit at Pinewood Villa, a 15-condominium complex located near the historic district in Snohomish. The complex is designed for active adults 50 years of age or older. The lower level consists almost exclusively of a common area accessible by all residents. It includes billiards and card tables, an exercise room, two powder rooms, a sitting area with see-through gas fireplace, a play area for grandkids, a library and a full-service kitchen.
Unit 303 is a rambler-style with two bedrooms. It is located on the second level, which also includes a large common area with views of Mount Rainier, hot-air balloons and the Snohomish Valley.
Oak flooring covers the entry and extends into the kitchen and great-room.
A laundry room is positioned to the immediate left, convenient yet separate from the remainder of the floorplan. The room is completed with vinyl flooring and a ventilated wire storage shelf.
On the opposite side is the condo’s second bedroom. Its features include plush carpeting, phone/cable jacks, Category V wiring, a centered light fixture and two paneled sliding doors that enclose a closet with wire storage shelf and lighting.
The main living portion of the home consists of the kitchen and great-room. Kitchen highlights include granite tile countertops, breakfast bar with drop-down lighting, maple paneled cabinets, stainless and black colored appliances including a four-burner natural gas range, and a two-compartment stainless steel sink.
The extra-large great-room provides a versatile, functional living space that can be tailored to each owner’s specific wants and needs. The room is brightened by numerous windows, and has a natural gas, log-burning fireplace serving as its focal point. The raised hearth fireplace is trimmed with ceramic tile and a formal wood surround and mantel. A built-in decorator niche with lighting is positioned above and is wired to accommodate a high-definition, large screen television.
A storefront door opens from the great-room to a balcony-style deck with partial wall that provides views of the cityscape.
Steps away is a master suite with high, vaulted ceiling and a storefront door that accesses the same deck. The spacious master bedroom is enhanced by two oversized vertical windows.
A walk-in wardrobe closet with multi-tiered, ventilated wire storage shelves is located on one side of a short hall that leads to the bathroom. Two paneled sliders enclose a second closet space.
Bathroom features include an oversized shower with ceramic tile surround and mosaic tile accents, a single vanity topped with ceramic tile, a large mirror with an upscale light fixture, and complementary vinyl flooring.
