This week’s featured new home is a three-bedroom, two-bath rambler situated on a large lot within walking distance of downtown Arlington.

Constructed by Everett Builders, the open floor plan benefits from soaring vaulted ceilings and numerous windows that create the illusion of even more square footage.

A paned glass front door opens to a foyer that’s covered with 12-inch ceramic tile flooring augmented by slate tile inlays. Partial walls are capped with crown molding and plant shelves, and alabaster light fixtures are detailed with metal floral designs.

A finished, two-car garage is enclosed by a double door with an electric opener and receives light from a window that overlooks the courtyard entry.

A formal dining room to the left of the entryway has tile flooring, a vaulted ceiling, a farmhouse-style light fixture and angled walls framing five large windows.

Steps away is a kitchen with oak-paneled cabinets with crown molding and plant shelves, tile flooring, laminate countertops with a slate and glass tile backsplash, a breakfast bar that has overhead cabinets with glass fronts, a pantry closet enclosed by a frosted glass door and a black-on-black appliance package that includes a smooth-top range, a built-in dishwasher and a microwave.

A great room could be dressed up and used as a formal living room or used as an informal family room. The sprawling area has laminate flooring, a high vaulted ceiling with a palm paddle-fan light fixture, a rectangular window and a storefront door that opens to an oversized, exposed aggregate patio and a fenced back yard.

A computer workstation is positioned in a central area that leads to the bedroom wing. The work area includes overhead cabinets, drawer storage, a laminate countertop and under-cabinet lighting.

The master suite highlights the bedroom portion of the home. A large sleeping area has a vaulted ceiling with a palm-style fan light fixture and a large walk-in wardrobe closet with wood storage shelves on three walls.

The suite is completed with a five-piece bathroom with a jetted soaker tub encased in a tile surround beneath an architectural block glass window, a freestanding shower with a fiberglass shell and clear glass enclosure, a double vanity topped with laminate, vinyl flooring and two wall-mounted, adjustable vanity mirrors.

The remaining two bedrooms have standard closets, phone/cable jacks and alabaster light fixtures. The full bath has a shower/tub combination, a single vanity with a laminate top and oak backsplash, and an alabaster light fixture.

A laundry room has overhead oak cabinets, a built-in laundry tub with a laminate folding table, a storage closet and an access door to the garage.
