A three-bedroom, 2.5-bath Victorian-style two-story in Mukilteo is our featured resale home this week. It was built in 1995 and is on a corner lot in a subdivision in the Elliot Point area.
The home’s wood- and beveled-glass front door opens to an oak-floored foyer open to the second level.
To the left is a formal dining room with plush carpeting, coffered ceiling, wainscoting, shadowboxing, and a bay window facing the street.
To the right of the foyer, a sunken formal living room is highlighted by a fireplace with marble tile hearth and surround. Other features are plush carpeting, wainscoting, shadowboxing, a coffered ceiling, and another bay window facing the street.
An island-design kitchen is a few steps away from the formal dining room. It is arranged in an open floor plan with an informal dining area and a family room.
Kitchen features include oak flooring, white cabinets with black granite slab counters, white appliances, recessed lighting, a pantry, and a window above the sink, overlooking a side yard.
Oak flooring is also used in the informal dining area, which has a coffered ceiling and a bay window overlooking the back yard.
Family room highlights include sculpted Berber carpeting, a sliding glass door accessing an exposed aggregate patio, and a large picture window overlooking the back yard.
A laundry room and a half bathroom are positioned off the family room. The laundry room has vinyl flooring, built-in utility sink and cabinets, and a door that opens to a breezeway leading to the home’s detached two-car garage. The garage is larger than average and includes workspace. It is also plumbed for gas heat.
A switchback staircase in the foyer ascends to the second level, where all three bedrooms — including a suite — and a full bathroom are located.
Features of the bedroom suite include a sitting area with four windows overlooking the street and front yard, and a five-piece bathroom. The bathroom has marble tile flooring, an extra-long single vanity topped with marble tile, a jetted tub encased in marble tile, and a large walk-in shower with marble tile surround and two shower heads. The tub is positioned below a large picture window.
A spacious walk-in closet, which could be converted to a fourth bedroom or home office, completes the suite.
One of the remaining bedrooms faces the street, the other faces the back yard. Both have double closets with bifold doors.
The home has central vacuum and gas forced air heat.
