A three-bedroom, 2.5-bath Victorian-style two-story on a 1.5-acre lot near the Cavalero Corner area is our featured resale home this week. It was built in 1993 and is licensed for use as a Bed and Breakfast, if desired.

The home’s front door, accessed from a wraparound covered porch, opens to a foyer with old-growth maple flooring that was recycled from a Marysville gymnasium. This same flooring is also used in the formal dining room, kitchen and informal dining area.

A formal living room is to the immediate right of the foyer. Features include pale neutral plush carpeting, crown molding, a bay window overlooking the front yard, and a fireplace with brick hearth and surround.

The formal dining room is adjacent to the living room and has crown molding, three windows overlooking a side yard, and a fir double door that opens to a ground-level deck at the back of the house.

An island-design kitchen, informal dining area and family room are at the back of the house. Kitchen highlights include maple cabinets, granite tile countertops, coffered ceiling with crown molding, a walk-in pantry, and a window above the sink, overlooking the back yard.

A fir door in the informal dining area accesses the backyard deck.

Features of the family room include pale neutral plush carpeting, knotty pine ceiling, crown molding, a wall of windows facing the back yard, and a gas fireplace with wood surround. A glass double door in the family room opens to a courtyard area at the front of the house.

A laundry room and a half bathroom complete the entry level. The laundry room has vinyl flooring and a built-in sink and cabinets. The half bath is finished with crown molding, beadboard-style wainscoting, and a pedestal sink.

A door in the family room accesses a two-car garage, a separate one-car garage (both garages are attached to the house), and a staircase ascending to a 700 square-feet partially finished space above the garages.

The home’s upper level, accessed via a switchback staircase in the foyer, includes an owners’ suite, two bedrooms and a full bathroom.

Highlights of the suite include a bedroom fireplace with antique mantel and surround, and a turret with multiple windows overlooking the front and side yards.

The suite’s bathroom has marble tile flooring, a cathedral ceiling, antique vanity topped with granite, and a shower-tub combination with jetted tub and tile surround.
