This week’s featured new home has three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, and was built by Centex.
On the main floor of the two-story home, which is in the Copper Creek subdivision, are a great room that combines formal living and dining areas, a kitchen and a powder room. Upstairs are the bedrooms, a full bath and a utility room. A finished, two-car garage is enclosed by a single door that’s wired for an electric opener.
Red birch hardwood flooring covers the main floor. A combination of 9-foot ceilings, open design and numerous windows creates the illusion of more space than the measured 1,757 square feet.
The living room’s focal point is a natural gas, corner fireplace framed with a ceramic tile hearth and border, and a white enamel wood mantel. Two square-shaped windows provide natural light while maintaining privacy. There is also craftsman-style millwork throughout.
Steps away, the dining area serves as a natural buffer between the living room and kitchen. The area includes an alabaster chandelier with brushed chrome accents and sliding glass doors that access a 12- by 18-foot cedar deck and a back yard that overlooks a native growth protection area.
Kitchen highlights include granite slab countertops, birch flooring, birch-paneled cabinets with crown molding, a breakfast bar, a walk-in pantry closet, a two-compartment stainless steel sink and a stainless steel appliance package that includes a four-burner gas cooktop range, an over-the-range microwave, a dishwasher and a side-by-side refrigerator with an ice and water dispenser.
The powder room that’s positioned to the immediate right of the entryway includes a pedestal sink and a beveled, oval vanity mirror.
Upstairs, a full bath is located to the left of an extra-wide hall. Features include a double vanity topped with ceramic tile and a backsplash, complementary vinyl flooring, an extended mirror with a six-bulb strip light, and a shower/tub combination with a faux white tile fiberglass shell. Across the hall is a linen closet with a French door. The nearby laundry room has vinyl flooring and a ventilated wire storage shelf.
A large, rectangular-shaped master suite has a walk-in wardrobe closet and a sleeping area that overlooks the front of the home. Appointments in the five-piece master bath include a double vanity topped with ceramic tile, a full-length mirror, an oval soaker tub positioned beneath a frosted glass privacy window, a private water-closet and a freestanding shower with a clear glass enclosure and faux white tile fiberglass surround.
The remaining two bedrooms face the rear of the home. The smaller of the two bedrooms has an alcove for a dresser or desk, a standard closet with a French door, phone/cable jacks and a frosted swirl light fixture. The larger bedroom includes the same features plus a walk-in wardrobe closet.
