A four-bedroom, two-bath split-level near Everett Mall is our featured resale home this week. It was built in 1973, with a total remodel recently completed.
The home’s front door opens to a small landing with tile flooring. The area is brightened by a large privacy-glass panel next to the door, and two windows above it.
Eight steps of the entry’s split staircase ascend to the main living area, which includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, three bedrooms and a full bathroom.
The other half of the staircase descends to the lower level, which includes a large rec room or family room, one bedroom, a full bathroom and a laundry room.
Oatmeal cut-pile carpeting is featured in the living room, dining room, hallways, rec room and all four bedrooms.
Highlights of the living room are a picture window overlooking the front yard and street, and a fireplace with pellet stove insert. The fireplace has a varnished aggregate bench hearth, and a brick surround and mantel.
The adjacent dining room, arranged in an open floorplan with the living room, has a sliding glass door that opens to a covered deck at the back of the house.
A square-shaped kitchen is positioned off the dining room at the back of the house.
Features of the kitchen include vinyl tile flooring, white painted cabinets, laminate countertops with a tiled backsplash, a white-on-white range and oven, and a window above the sink, overlooking the back yard.
A hallway off the living room leads to three bedrooms and a full bathroom. The bathroom is continental-style, with access from both the hallway and one of the bedrooms.
Highlights of the bathroom include faux tile vinyl flooring, a high elongated single vanity topped with laminate, and a shower-tub combination with cultured marble surround.
All three of the bedrooms on the home’s upper level have oversized rectangular windows, and double closets with sliding doors.
On the lower level, the rec room is highlighted by a picture window overlooking the front yard, a woodburning stove with a tile hearth and brick surround, and a sliding glass door accessing a concrete patio with two separate covered areas.
Bathroom features include tile flooring, an elongated single vanity, a tub encased in tile, and a separate shower stall with fiberglass shell.
The home has a completely fenced back yard, and an attached two-car garage with access from the lower-level hallway.
