A three-bedroom rambler on a half-acre lot in the Cathcart area between Snohomish and Woodinville is our featured home today. It was built in 1975, with a complete remodel recently finished.
A glass door at the front entry opens to a foyer with 12-inch tile flooring. Directly ahead of the foyer is a “T”hallway. To the left it leads to a laundry room, half bathroom and rec room; to the right it accesses a great-room incorporating the kitchen, dining area and family room.
The laundry room has tile flooring, a utility sink, and a door with outside access.
The half bathroom is finished with tile flooring, a pedestal sink and a window with privacy glass.
Features of the rec room include earth-tone short-pile carpeting, three picture windows, recessed lighting, and a gas fireplace with tile hearth and surround. A TV alcove above the fireplace is wired for cable.
Cherry-stained cabinets and black granite tile countertops highlight the kitchen. Other features include stainless steel appliances, tile flooring and a greenhouse window above the sink.
There is another gas fireplace in the family room, also with tile hearth and surround, and a TV alcove, wired for cable, above it.
The dining area has tile flooring and a paned French door that opens to a covered aggregate patio and a fenced back yard.
An owner’s suite is positioned off the great-room and has the same carpet as the rec room. Its bedroom has recessed lighting, crown molding, an oversized window facing the back yard, and four small square windows near the ceiling along one wall.
Features of the suite’s bathroom include a skylight, an elongated double vanity topped with marble tile, a jetted tub with marble tile surround, and a large rectangular shower with tile surround and two shower heads.
A walk-in closet completes the suite.
At the opposite side of the great-room, a hall with tile flooring accesses the remaining bedrooms, a full bathroom and a den.
One bedroom overlooks the front yard, the other faces the back yard. The first has a standard closet, the second a double closet with sliding doors. The den has a window overlooking the front yard.
All three rooms have the same carpet as the rec room and suite.
Features of the full bathroom include tile flooring, a shower-tub combination with jetted tub, and a double vanity topped with marble tile.
