The Everett Public Schools Foundation and Everett School District have created the Robert C. Polk Memorial Athletic Scholarship to honor the district’s late activities and athletics director.
Polk died Sunday at age 54.
For the last 17 years, Polk managed a wide variety of athletic, activity and academic responsibilities as part of his job with the district. He also juggled a number of other duties outside of that, including regional athletic leadership positions and basketball officiating roles.
Polk, whose legacy was featured in The Herald earlier this week, was known in the district and throughout the area’s sports community for his steady leadership, genuine care for people and determination to do what was best for kids.
To donate to the scholarship fund, visit EPSFoundation.org or text “EPSF” to 243-725 and include “Robert Polk” in the comments box.
Donations also can be sent via check to Everett Public Schools Foundation, P.O. Box 3112, Everett, WA 98213. Make checks payable to “EPSF,” with “Robert Polk” on the memo line.
