ATLANTA — Former Jackson High School and University of Washington baseball standout Brent Lillibridge collected his first major-league hit Wednesday in the Atlanta Braves’ 4-2 victory over Milwaukee.
Lillibridge, who was called up from Class AAA Richmond last week, did not start the game. He came in as a pinch runner in the second inning after the Braves’ starting shortstop, Omar Infante, suffered a strained hamstring while running out a double.
Lillbridge stayed in the game and in the eighth collected his first hit, a double off the Brewers’ Mitch Stetter. Lillibridge, who is in his second stint with the Braves this season, is batting .091 (1-for-11).
